Milan-San Remo

Date 21 March 2026Saturday
Status Completed

Milan-San Remo is the first Monument of the cycling season, covering approximately 300 kilometres from Milan to the Italian Riviera town of San Remo. Known as La Classicissima, it is the longest one-day race in professional cycling and traditionally favours sprinters who can survive the late climbs.

The decisive moments come on the Cipressa and Poggio climbs in the final 30 kilometres, where attacks can shatter the peloton before the fast descent into San Remo and the sprint along the Via Roma.
